In April of 2018, an exhibit entitled Jean Kittrell: First Lady of Jazz was shown at Lovejoy Library on SIUE’s campus celebrating Jean Kittrell’s extraordinary career. Explore the gallery below to see photos of the exhibit taken by Dr. Cory Willmott and Bill Weidler.

The April 2018 exhibit was curated by Therese Dickman, Tiffany Dvorak, and Doug Meyer (Library & Information Services) with assistance from Erin Vigneau-Dimick and Mike Whisenhunt (University Museum). It featured donated materials from the Jean Kittrell Music Collection, Don Franz, and Dotti Miller. Sponsors included SIUE Library & Information Services, Franklin Valiant, Jr., Friends of Lovejoy Library, and the National Ragtime & Jazz Archive.
